I Just received your letter Waas Oh so glad to hear from you  I am just lie all ways.  Better and Worse.  I am doing verry Well  I have too good girls Bessie and Mary Anna Lasus?  Oh they are fine girls but Maryanna got insulted because you Wrote to Bessie and not to her  you must Write to Maryanna  I hid Monna letter so Mary Would not see it  She was Just real snufy about a letter   Oh Zellie cant Write much today  I dont feal lik Writing

they tend to the turkeys all right all of them and give them fresh Water Evry day  Oh you Wrote your letter so dim that me and Oscar both could hardley read it  dont Write so dim  Write plain  do inJoy yourselves and stay long as you Wanto  Oscar talk of going to Washington the middle of next weak I think that we can do all write if he leaves  We Will try it aney Way   the Tomatoes look like they are bliting  Oh they they are all rotting I dont want you to bring any one home with you  if you do you can make slaw and bake Damson pies Without sugar and good sower apples with out sugar

and cook Beans with good Spring Water  no greece or salt no I want no boddy but you and Daniel untill you are at home a While and we get something to cook With   Well I must stop Writing Write Soon

Could it be that A. R. was diabetic?  Baking without sugar could be a reason for that -- just a guess.
