Monday Morning
Parkersburg, W.Va

Dear Zella, we arrived here last night at about 12-20. C. Ther? Harper brought us to Elkins yesterday and from there we took the Bus to Clarksburg and stopped a few minutes at Miss ? Caires? home. I tell you they are fine people. We met this morning Eld Philpoth, Eld Leach and Mr. Dan Homes. All fine people of course. This letter is just to tell you we are here alright.

Dear Zella Nida Don and ?

we landed OK at the Cains home in Clarksburg at 8pm and left for Parkersburg at 9.25 pm  got here at 12.30 that night will you all kindly keep a watch on my home and chickens and calf and then tell me when I see you what I owe you. Past [sic] do as you would like for me to do for you, if you was in my shoes. and that will be O.K. yes Nida I seen Elmer and then? M and will tell you it all
