Letter from Monna Landes to Zella Landes September 3, 1920 Miss Zella Landes My dear aunt I will answer you kind letter which I recieved [sic] to-day how glad i was to get it I would like to see you awful wll when are you coming home school begans [sic] the 10 of next month Momma and Ralph is gone to Riverton your turkeys is doing fine we water them every day and feed them to. your cows and calves is so pretty Jennie and little sweet Sota was up a friday mary and Bessie is staying but I go over and see about everything I sleep with her [2] when I am there Mary and Bessie sleeps with her when I am not there today is friday and? I will set down and finish your good letter I just come from grandmas oh we are just doing fine in our Sabboth school and everything well we got your letter with all of our names to. we all laughed at it Vallie and Olive was at your house last night I had the crazy head ache night before last how do you like Washington I would like to be with you. you must write to Mary she got so jealous till she nearly balled because you never wrote to her Oscar is at your house was some place and stayed a week [3] but he come back cherrys? calf is growing pretty well Zella I will have to close for this time write and tell me when your comming [sic] back grandma is not caring how long you stay she wants you to stay your stay out so answer soon from M J Landes ------------------------------------- Mona Z. [Zella] Landes married Teddy Hinkle on February 13, 1932. He died [suicide] on November 10, 1964. Mona died on Dec 18, 2006, aged 97. Both she and Teddy are buried in the Cedar Hill Cemetery at Franklin, WV One side note here, Becca mentions in a letter to Zella on September 6, 1920 (3 days after Mona wrote this letter to Zella): "Wnen you come Zellie cant you get something for Monna [sic] Bed Wetting do get it I will pay you for it."
