Daniel had interaction with Marcellus Bucklew and writes about it in his 1880 diary. However, there are no diaries between 1881-1886, so no first-hand comments can be found regarding this letter. In the 1880 diary, dated February 18, 1880, Daniel writes: "Went down to Wm Ours wth Bucklew and conditionally traded him my land in Grant Co for Bonds vs Simon Borror." Also in February 1880, Daniel was building a shop and was working at framing it (Feb. 16, 1880). The next day, Feb. 17, 1880, he "Finished and raised it Wm & Marcellus Bucklew stayed all night with me." We can assume that Wm and Marcellus helped raise the frame and then stayed all night.
