Deed from D. A. Landes to Zella S. Landes, Sept. 1, 1926 THIS DEED made this first day of September, 1926, between D. A. Landes, widower, of the first part, and Zellie [sic] S. Landes, of the second part, and both of the county of Pendleton, the Statue of West Virginia, WITNESSETH, Tha in consideration of love and affection, and in further consideration of the sum of one dollar paid by the part of the second part to the party of the first part, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the said D. A. Landes doth grant and convey unto the said Zellie S. Landes, with covenants of general warranty, all that certain lot or parcel of land situate in Bland Hills, in the District of Union, in the said County, adjoining the lands of Jackson Raines, and others, and bounded as follows: Beginning at a gate post on the east side of the road on or near the line of the said Raines, a divisin corner of Lot No. 1 of the Job Dolly lands, and with the same, N. 25 1/2 ¼ E. 6 3/4 poles to three chestnuts from the same root, near the Dolly School House, corner of the same, N. 50 1/2 ¼ E. 59 1/4 poles to a stone near the old Dolly School House; S. 84 3/4¼ E. 6 poles to a gate post; No. 5 1/4¼ E. 14 1/4 poles to a stone by the road; N. 43¼ E. 10 poles to a stone by a telephone post; N. 62 1/4¼ E. 33 1/4 poles to a point on the form line; and with the same, S. 62 3/4 E. 4 poles to a walnut, a corner of the same; S. 32 1/2 E. 52 poles to a fallen hickory, corner of the same, and a corner of M. D Bennett and with his lines, S. 45¼ No. 42 poles to a chestnut stump, in Bennett's field, corner of the same; S. 47¼ W. 59 poles to a stone on the south side of the "town road" corner of the said Raines, and with a line of the same, No. 50¼ W. 85 34 poles to the beginning containing 61 acres more or less, and being known as Lot No. 2 of the lands of the late Job Dolly assigned to the late America R. Landes, wife of the part of the first part, and mother of the part of the second part, in a suit in chancery late pending in the Circuit Court of the said County, in which Wilson Dolly was plaintiff, and Martha Doll, and others were defendants, and was devised and bequeated [sic] to the part of the first part, by the said America R. Landes, in her last will and testament, dated on the 15th day of May, 1925, and probated and recorded on the 24th daya of August, 1926, in the [2] the [sic] county court of the said County, in open session, and is found of record in the office of the clerk of the court, in Will Book No. 6, at page 218, for the partition referred to above, reference is made to Dee Book No 49, at page 151, in the same clerk's office, which tract or parcel of land is hereby conveyed to the said Zellie S. Landes in lieu of the tract intended for her by her mother, the said America R. Landes, by agreement, and because the tract herein conveyed is not bound by the mortgage of the Federal Lande Bank of Baltimore. Witness the following signature and seal. D. A.
