This indenture made the Sixth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten between William Gragg and Mary his wife of the County of Pendleton and state of Virginia of the one part, and Henry Judy of the County of Hardy & state aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth, That the said William Gragg and mary his wife for and in consideration of the sum of four Hundred Pounds lawful money of Virginia, to ? in had paid by the said Henry Judy the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant, bartgain and sell unto the said Henry Judy and his heirs and assigns The two following tracts of lands lying & being on the North fork of the South Branch of the Potomac in Pendleton County. The first tract containing sixty four acres & bounded as following to wet Beginning at two Sugar trees S44 W144 poles to a white oak. Then S62 poles to two white oaks then S47 E32 poles to Hickory & Cherry tree on the river? bank ? N21 E60 poles to a sycamore then N143 poles to the beginning the Second tract containing seventy one acres on the west side of the above patented to Michael Ebessman? December 9th 1791. and Bounded as follows to the Beginning at a Walnut at the lower end of the place and Eunning? ? N88 W60 pols to a white oak and sugar tree on a hill south 31 W86 pols to a white oak & S71 E112 poles to a Sugar tree, thence S 88 E20 poles by the Mouth of a run. N30 poles to some Indian graves. and N17 E119 poles to the Beginning containing in all one hundred and thirty five acres. be the same more or less. together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belong, or in any wise appertaining, To Have and to Hold the said tract of Land with its appurtenances unto the said. Henry Judy his heirs and assigns forever; to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Henry Judy his heirs and assigns forever. And the said. William Gragg & Mary his wife their heirs, executors and administrators, do convenant with the said Henry Judy his heirs and assigns, that they the said, William Gragg and Mary his wife their heirs, executors and administrators the said tract of Land the said Henry Judy his heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of them the said William Gragg and Mary his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals on the day and year first above written.
