This deed, made this the 21st day of April 1874 between Job Dolly, of the first part, and America R. Landis, Wilson Dolly and Florence Dolly, of the second part- witnesseth: That for and in consideration of an adjustment of a matter of controversy between the said Job Dolly and the said America R. Landis, Wilson Dolly and Florence Dolly - (who are his children by his first wife, - who was a Daughter of the late Geo. Harper, Sr, of Pendleton County, West Virginia-) in regard to the equitable interest of said America R. Landis, Wilson Dolly and Florence Dolly, in the real estate herein after conveyed ? the entire purchase money of said real estate, having been paid to John Dolly, Sr, from whom the said Job Dolly purchased the same, By said Geo. Harper, Sr, by way of advancement to the wife or said Job Dolly before mentioned - and said Geo. Harper, Sr., having by his last will and testament acquired said America R. Landes, Wilson Dolly and Florence Dolly to ? for said ? in the distribution of his estate ? his children and grand children -- the said Job Dolly does hereby convey (reserving control of the same during his natural lifetime) - to the said America R. Landes, Wilson Dolly and Florence Dolly, all the real estate lying in the said county of Pendleton, West Virginia on the west side of [2] the North Fork Mountain -- known as the Old Dolly Home Place - and the same lands that were conveyed by John Dolly to said Job Dolly, by deed bearing date the 8th day of June, 1868, and which is of record in the office of the clerk of the County Court of Pendleton County, West Virginia, in deed book 13 to which deed so recorded, reference is here made for a more particular and full description of the real estate herein conveyed - witness the following signature and seal - Job Dolly [his Seal] State of West Virginia County of Pendleton, to wit: I, A.
