Bond Cemetery Grave Register

Here is are the graves in the Bond Cemetery as listed in the publication, Cemetery Records of Pendleton County, West Virginia, published by the Pendleton County Historical Society, 2013:

Ann Jemima Bond (b. ? d. March 31, 1846), 10 mos., 29 days.

Ann Rebecca Judy Bond (b. Jan 25, 1844; d. Oct 20, 1888) daughter of Amos and Mary A. Teter Judy; wife of William Henry Bond. [According to an entry in Daniel Landes' diary, March 17, 1888, William H. Bond died of 'heart disease' on this date. His wife, Anna Rebecca, would die 7 months later. Daniel wrote on October 20, 1888 that 'Mrs Rebecca Bond wife of Wm H. Bond dead. Died suddenly of heart disease at about 1 oclock.' Both Rebecca and William H. Bond are burried in the Bond Cemetery.]

Anna Rebecca Wise Bond (b. Aug 5,1817; d. May 8, 1901) daughter of Martin & Eve Wise; wife of John Samuel Bond.

This is potentially confusing:

- John Bond's wife was Anna Rebecca Wise Bond (married May 30, 1839).

- John Bond's son, William H. Bond's wife was Ann Rebecca Judy Bond (marriage date unknown).

Capt. John Samuel Bond (b. Apr 16, 1818; d. Sep 23, 1892) 74 years, 7 mos, 14 days. Civil War Captain. Born in PA. [Unfortunately there are no entries in Daniel Landes' diary for 1892 after August 6. So there are no comments about John Bond's death.]

Bond child (no dates) child of John and Rebecca Bond. 6 years, 25 days.

Martha Bond (b. ?; d. Feb 3, 1896) 38 years, 9 mos, 6 days. [Edwin F. Bond was the son of John and Rebecca Bond, and was the younger brother of William H. Bond. Edwin's 1st wife was Martha Bond, and evidently this is she. Edwin's 2nd wife was Cora Susan Kimble, niece of Christina Kimble.]

Noah W. Bond (b. ?; d. Apr 4, 1846) 6 years, 25 days.

Sarah Bond (b. Jul 2, 1859; d. Jan 10, 1860) daughter of John and Rebecca Bond, 6 mos, 8 days.

William Henry Bond (b. Nov 29, 1841; d. Mar 17, 1888) son of John and Rebecca Wise Bond; husband of Ann Rebecca Judy. [According to an entry in Daniel Landes' diary, March 17, 1888, William H. Bond died of 'heart disease' on this date.]

Mahala Jane Peterson Borror (b. ?; d. Jan 13, 1871) 1st wife of Simor Borror; 37 years, 6 mos, 28 days.

Emma A. Bond Bowers (b. Nov 15, 1856; d. Dec. 10, 1899) daughter of John and Anna Rebecca Wise Bond; wife of Josephus Bowers.

George Graham (b. Jan 2, 1862; d. Jan 28, 1872) son of Isaac and Lydia Kimble Graham.

Lydia Ann Kimble Graham (b. May 10, 1838; d. Apr 1, 1926) daughter of James and Jane Porter Kimble. 2nd wife of Isaac Graham; sister of Christina Kimble Landes.

Mary E Graham (b. Oct 18, 1872; d. Oct 15, 1875) daughter of Isaac and Lydia Kimble Graham; 2 years, 11 mos.

Mary J. Bond Judy (b. 1847; d. Nov 13, 1870) daughter of John and Anna Rebecca Wise Bond; 1st wife of Rev. Martin Judy.

Emma Grace Landes Kimble (b. Feb 27, 1870; d. March 25, 1899) daughter of Jesse and Christina Kimble Landes; wife of William Wesley Kimble. This is a conundrum because a second stone exists in the Cherry Hill Cemetery in Upper Tract, WV.

Christian Frances Kimble Landes (b. Aug. 11, 1831; d. Jul 7, 1911) daughter of James and Jane Porter Kimble; wife of Jesse Landes.

Jesse Landes (b. Feb 10, 1809; d Mar 7, 1894) son of John and Elizabeth Peacock Landes; husband of Christina Kimble.

Jesse F. Riggleman (b. ?; d. Mar 10, 1893) 9 years, 9 days. [could be the son of Samuel and Sarah Landes Riggleman]

M. Wise (b. May 20, 1792; d. Mar 15, 1805).

Noah Wisse (b. Mar 9, 1822; d. Aug 31, 1827).
